I was recently seen for abdominal pain that wouldn't subside on its own after a week. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the care I received. She reviewed my history, asked questions, and did a physical examination of my abdomen before she suggested doing labs, x-rays, and a CT scan. I agreed as I was willing to do any testing necessary if it meant I could get an answer to relieve my pain. She ordered the labs and x-rays and told me exactly where I needed to go and what to do when I arrived in each department. After my tests were complete, I went back into the clinic exam room as she told me to do. She popped in to check on me after I sat down in the room and proceeded to tell me that my results weren't in yet but they would be shortly. That was nice and reassuring for her to check in, and sure enough a few minutes later my x-rays were done. She came into the room and sat with me to tell me the results and that there was no blockage of any kind. She left while we continued to wait for the lab results but popped in to check on me again after a short time. This time she asked if I wanted some water and told me that we'll get this figured out so "you can return back to your normal self". Despite the pain I was in, it was so warm to hear her say that. I knew I was in great hands and that we would figure it out; I completely trusted her. Once the lab results were in, she came back to the room and reviewed all the details with me. She even turned her computer toward where I was sitting so we could go through it together. She took her time going through various line items and explaining why some labs were even slightly out of the normal range and what that meant. Throughout my whole experience, I felt so comfortable and supported to know that she wasn't rushing my care to tend to the next patient. She took her time and truly cared about making me feel better. She partnered with me, listened to my needs, was knowledgeable, and ordered the right tests, and I highly recommend her as a provider! I will happily see her again as a patient.
