Sam was extremely helpful as the charge nurse when I requested some end-of-life compassion. My family member was most likely not going to make it before we were able to get a flight. I asked Sam to allow us to FaceTime them. He got it set up with the sweetest nurse, but I do not remember her name. We needed to let my family member know of an engagement in the family that would be happening that month. My family member knew what we said as the nurse had to wipe tears from their eyes. Without that small bit of closure, it would have been very heavy on our hearts. They also put them back on a medical intervention so we would hopefully be able to get there in time. The other staff was all so nice!! We were able to make it in person before they passed. THANK YOU, Sam!
