My grandma came to the hospital and was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She ended up staying here for the remainder of her life on hospice care.

I spent 11 – 12 hours a day with her in her room and I wanted to recognize that the staff at this hospital have been wonderful and compassionate, not just to grandma but to our family as well. My absolute favorite nurse is Megan Lassen.

She is sweet, caring, and professional. I’m in my 2nd trimester pregnant and she was looking after me as well, offering me ginger ale. She has been very compassionate and gentle with my grandma who isn’t the easiest patient.

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for having Megan as our nurse for most of our stay at Good Sam. I’m sure being an oncology nurse is a tough and emotional career. She really helped make my grandma and my entire family comfortable. Thank you very much.
