She was most attentive explaining upcoming treatments. She always had a reassuring smile, while providing medications or assisting with a procedure.
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Ms. Laura Harriot R.N. who attended me during my stay at Tisch, NYU Hospital in Manhattan, New York City.
Let me say to begin with that anyone can be a caretaker of someone who is infirmed as a professional routine. Ms. Harriot did not treat me in a routine manner.
Ms. Harriot is an outstanding nurse, who not only performed her required duties with good-humored professionalism but often penitently reminded me when and why I need to timely take my medications. Often, on all too a regular basis, she’d inquire about my comfort. She was most attentive explaining upcoming treatments. She always had a reassuring smile, while providing medications or assisting with a procedure.
I also witnessed her work with a difficult patient who seemed to be cantankerous or argumentative in his behaviors. Ms. Harriot handled this situation with much sensitivity and understanding. She secured that this patient became more relaxed and cooperative.
Research has recorded the importance of attentive nursing on the recovery of patients. Ms. Harriot exhibits all those characteristics, such as patience, the ability to handle multiple demands, and address patients professionally while maintaining a cheerful deposition.
I recommend Ms. Laura Harriot, RN for The DAISY Award without reservation.
