A lot of thought went into this because I received excellent care from all nurses on this unit. With that said, Assia was there for me when I was at my worst. The entire right side of my body was not working at all. Assia would not let me lose hope. She sat with me every day and told me they would be there for me. Assia gave me the drive to feel better. She was always direct and honest with me and always kept her word. I owe my life to Assia and the VA hospital. I am writing this letter with my own right hand. I am walking home with my wife and family today, and I would not be walking at all if not for Assia. Thank you.
