Having a tough pregnancy, I was required to get weekly NSTs done. While there, I met Monique and T. I instantly clicked with both of them and having them there through labor made labor so much easier for me. My induction turned into an emergency C-section by the end of the night. I was nervous and I will never forget the words that T said to me that made me truly feel like everything was going to be okay. Once brought up to the postpartum floor, I was sad to be leaving T and Monique, but I was lucky enough to meet other nurses. I knew my baby was being taken care of. All of my concerns were being listened to and answered, and I truly felt like I was being heard as a new mom. Not only did I feel like my baby was being taken care of, but the other nurses made it one of their top priorities to make sure I felt comfortable, had everything I needed for recovery, and emphasized the impact that this surgery had on my body and that I needed to make sure I was being taken care of too. I have never in my life experienced such an incredible hospital experience, especially during one of the most stressful moments of my life. All of the nurses that I encountered here during my stay were incredible. However, these nurses made the most impact on me. Thank you to them, and thank you to Melrose Wakefield for having such a caring and impactful staff.

My wife N is an OB patient and is 34 weeks pregnant and has received some excellent care from the above nurses on several occasions already. But my wife got exceptional care the night when she developed severe pre-term labor pains that day while at work, at another hospital. When the other facility discharged my wife, she was still in severe pain and was left without the treatment she needed to stop or slow the premature contractions. Fortunately for my wife, the L & D department at Melrose-Wakefield took us in with open arms and got us settled quickly and effortlessly. They had N monitored and treated for her symptoms quickly, efficiently, and effortlessly. She was pain-free and was able to go home and get the best night's sleep she's had in weeks. I really appreciated Monique's care and compassion, and I appreciate the doctor's quick response and getting us taken care of quickly. We ourselves are nurses, and we recognize great nursing care when we see it. Both my wife and I feel appreciative of the care we have received at Melrose-Wakefield L & D, and we think they run a great department there at the hospital.
