Cheyenne spoke to her respectfully in caring tones, telling A what was happening so she felt included.
My sister-in-law, A, had been in the ICU with pneumonia for over a week, intubated, not able to communicate, and with eyes closed. I had flown in from LA, scared and not sure of what was happening. Cheyenne explained everything that was going on, making all the medical terms that seemed so confusing something very understandable without being condescending. And even though A's eyes were closed and she's not communicating, Cheyenne spoke to her respectfully in caring tones, telling A what was happening so she felt included. My brother and I both felt better about everything knowing Cheyenne was there checking in, hovering nearby, and always available in a friendly manner to answer any and all of our questions. We were very impressed and touched by her heartfelt professionalism, and we truly appreciated the information she gave so we were not so scared.
