The word compassionate is an understatement when describing her to patients and coworkers. When working on the wards passing meds, she conducts herself in a professional and caring manner.
Rebekah is known for her big personality, kindness, caring, and thoughtfulness, goes far and above for both her patients and her coworkers. She keeps her surroundings colorful and uplifting, no matter where she is. Her work area in Adm, has always been decorated for holidays and seasonal in the most uplifting way.

Rebekah has always made sure her fellow staff and others are recognized for their birthdays, retirement, and other special occasions. Bakes special goodies, provides décor, and makes sure it’s a special occasion.

Always will put a smile on your face no matter what. The word compassionate is an understatement when describing her to patients and coworkers. When working on the wards passing meds, she conducts herself in a professional and caring manner. She is very knowledgeable and knows the right way and helps others to find the right and correct way. She helps in many other ways on the ward and many times without being asked, she just knows when she needs to lend a helping hand. She has the utmost respect for her coworkers and supervisors. She just never says “No” it's just not in her vocabulary. When staffing is short, she is always willing to help out.

She was asked to correct a situation found on one of the wards, which she was not involved with by her supervisor. She never hesitated, complained, or questioned; she just did what she was asked to do. She has been at Western for many, many years including a short break to work for the DOC. So, she has been a State Employee in the medical field for multiple years.

On top of working full-time and all her activities, she is working on her registered nurse education online. If I was to speak for a patient, I would have to say, “Rebekah is one of the best nurses that has ever taken care of me”.

I know I have probably not said enough, there are just not enough words to describe the wonderful person and nurse in which Rebekah is.

***

Rebekah has worked tirelessly for the state for many, many years.  She is always upbeat and willing to help. She goes above and beyond with training our staff and problem-solving.  She is now going back for her RN after raising her family.  She went to LPN school while a very young, single mother.  She is the nurse that I would want at my bedside.
