One year ago today I took myself into South Meadows Emergency Room because I wanted to end my life. Rachel was my nurse and there hasn't been a day in the past 365 I have not thanked her in my head for making me feel cared for. I am almost one year sober and I am definitely one year stronger. I honestly wish I could give something more than Gold because, in the darkest time in my life, Rachel provided a glimpse of light. I am happy and healthy and I know that my life is not the only life Rachel has saved. She helped me realize that you don't have to be externally bleeding to need help.
