Service above self was demonstrated by Mr. Tullao RN when he voluntarily transferred Covid-19 confirmed patients to other hospitals when all military personnel were quarantined due to exposure to Covid-19 virus.
Mr Rolando M Tullao Jr, RN, Nurse 1, SG-15, presently assigned in Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary (WASMI), 585th Airbase Group, Air Installation Base and Development Command. He primarily functions as a Nurse I. He is the Assistant Nurse-in-Charge for Clinical Area of Wallace Air Station Medical Infirmary where he exhibited his proficient knowledge, skills, and leadership in personnel manning and quality patient care beyond all clinical aspects of this Unit. In this arduous time of pandemic crisis created by COVID-19 Virus that highly affected the morale and welfare of WASMI Civilian HRs, Mr. Tullao RN executed his assigned tasks inordinately and without hesitations. Doubling his efforts as the ANIC for Clinical Area he still managed to vantage the Nursing Service Civilian Human Resource in all areas, especially in his designated role as ANIC for Clinical Area. He is very skilled and very abiding in remarkably completing all the assigned tasks, especially in creating the monthly schedule and being a professional advocate to his colleagues. He performed OPS- NPS for antigen test and conducts Contact Tracing. When it comes to clientele care, he is very accountable and very competent in delivering quality Nursing Care to all patients. Monitoring of Covid-19 related cases and triaging of patients were conducted by said personnel. Mr. Tullao RN exhibited good leadership, camaraderie with his superiors, subordinates, and co-workers in the Ward, Emergency Room Section, and Outpatient Department and in other 580TH ACWW Units and 585th ABG as well. Service above self was demonstrated by Mr. Tullao RN when he voluntarily transferred Covid-19 confirmed patients to other hospitals when all military personnel were quarantined due to exposure to Covid-19 virus. Mr Tullao, RN, receives various commendations from different commanders due to his diligence and dedication to duty. His outstanding performance and sense of humor help promote a harmonious environment for his colleagues and an environment that is beneficial to the speedy recovery of Covid-19 Confirmed patients which bespeaks well of the professionalism and competence of WASMI personnel. With the aforementioned justification, it is most worthy that CHR Rolando M Tullao, Jr. RN be awarded the DAISY Award.
