Always has a smile and really cares about her patients. Her nursing skills show as she takes the time to hear each patient.
Jay really shines in the Infusion area. I always hear positive comments from her patients when I am talking to them. They have commented on how loving and caring she is, and always goes the extra mile to make them feel comfortable. Jay treats them like family during one of their most frightening moments and helps alleviate their worries. Is always smiling with a ‘can do’ attitude which not only has a positive impact on our patients, but also on our team. It is a true pleasure to work with Jay and she deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond while demonstrating the utmost compassion.

Nurse Jay is a DAISY herself. Is always there and always explaining everything that she will be doing before hooking you up. Consistently has a smile on her face, is very kind, charismatic. As I said, she brightens up the patient’s station. Works well with co-workers. Speaks to patients with respect and makes you feel good about what you are going through.

The first time we entered the Infusion Department, we were greeted by a nurse with a big smile and a warm handshake. Jay was very patient with the million questions we had. Her humor is spectacular, leaving us thinking, this is not scary at all. Never, during the 5 hours we were here did I see this nurse sit. Jay is the ever-ready bunny of the Infusion Department. The smile is always there, the warmth never wavers, and she is truly exceptional.

As patients, this is a difficult road that we face. But when one has caregivers/nurses who understand and care, it makes a world of difference. Jay is one of the many nurses who understand and care. Always has a smile and really cares about her patients. Her nursing skills show as she takes the time to hear each patient. Is very knowledgeable about what needs to be done. Always gives a listening ear and explains to the best of her knowledge when questions are asked. I think Jay deserves this award because she goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are well taken care of. Jay is a super nurse.
