Hannah showed exemplary care for a palliative patient with a large family. The patient had been married to her husband for more than 25 years, yet had a wish to be married in a church ceremony before she died (they were originally married in a civil ceremony at a courthouse). Hannah not only attended to the patient’s medical care needs, but she also collaborated with the chaplain services to help the patient and her husband get ready for the ceremony. Although the patient was very weak, Hannah lovingly helped the patient wear her wedding gown. In fact, Hannah helped dress her twice after the wedding was moved from the morning to the afternoon. The couple married with their family in attendance, plus the patient had a dream come true. The patient died the next morning. While the death was understandably sad for the family, they took great comfort in knowing that their mom had her final wish fulfilled. Thank you, Hannah, for your great care!
