I was cared for by several RNs, all superb. Rebecca stood out as exemplary, heads and heels above all. When she first entered my room, she began assessing my medical situation and needs. She began with talking to me about my home medicines. She assured me that she would be sure all my home medicines were listed in my chart so the doctor could have them ordered while I was in the hospital. She really treated “me” as a person. I mentioned I had a sore on my bottom, and she left the room and came back with a Styrofoam wedge that really helped relieve the pressure and used cream to help the sore area heal. These simple things in patient care appear normal but to me they are monumental. She made me feel important with her total concern for me and portrayed compassion, competence, and professionalism. She deserves this award, hands down!
