Following a cardiac arrest in 2016, I was referred to the rehabilitation programme at the Centre for Exercise & Health. I have attended twice a week since then. In September 2022, I felt quite unwell and as I was unable to get a GP appointment, sought help at Atrium. It was Anna Steward who responded to my cry for help. She immediately did an ECG and offered comfort and reassurance. She was calm and professional, and when the cardiologist wanted a heart failure nurse to arrange & monitor a new drug regime, I was so relieved to find it was Anna who was going to do this. I was referred back to the rehab programme & Anna was there at each session to check that I was OK. In fact, when I had a problem with one medication, she promptly phoned for a download of my ICD and wrote to my GP. Both he and the cardiologist commented on her letters & assessment as being excellent. For me, she was a safe piece of land in which I felt safe! Thank you, Anna.
