Diane is a recent addition to our O.R. family and has excelled since her arrival. She is always willing to stay & help. She is a team player that is always willing to go the extra mile to help. We recently had a difficult surgical case that went on through an entire 12hour shift. Diane worked the room for 12 hours without complaint. She passed on any breaks due to the severity of the case. She stayed focused on providing quality care for the patient. She remained calm & organized throughout the entire case. Many people from the surgical team commented on how well she handled the room. She problem solved her way through many challenges that arose due to the limited resources that are available during the night shift. She stayed focused on providing the surgical team with any equipment or supplies needed. She updated the patient’s family often throughout the procedure, offering the current status of their loved one. At the end of her shift, she was tired & worn. With tears in her eyes, she said to me, “I did everything I could” and she was right. Her commitment to her patient was seen through those tears in her eyes. She truly is a remarkable nurse who works tirelessly for her patients.
