Lacie is one extraordinary nurse. She goes above and beyond for her patients. She will drop anything to be there helping. There have been several times that Lacie has helped run codes on patients, advocate for patients, and demonstrate superior teamworking skills. Last Friday, there was a patient that was experiencing several seizures post operatively and Lacie was there maintaining an airway for two hours continuous meanwhile the physicians formed a plan of care. She did not leave that patients side even though her shift had ended during the time she was helping this patient. There was also another time where Lacie had come in on her off day to help decorate the unit (going above and beyond) and she overheard a code that was called out overhead and she immediately ran into the operating room and assisted the OR team in helping save this patient. She is driven, kind, helpful and just an amazing person. I would trust Lacie with my life 100x over.
