And she walked in with a bag full of clothes for me. Sports bra, socks, change of pants, shirt. My heart dropped, I started to cry. I think she is full of compassion and love.
I was in a traumatic car accident. I was ejected out of the vehicle, and I was transported to UCI. I went through 2 surgeries on my broken pelvis and knee cap. I have several broken ribs, not to mention a fractured face. After surgery I was brought up to the oncology floor where I have been for 10 days. Now during my hospitalization, Jasmine was my nurse from the start. I knew she was very compassionate. I don’t have very many family members out there. My old lifestyle was for the bad. One morning she walked into my room and asked me if I was ok. She asked me if I remember what happened. I began to answer her, but I started to cry joyful tears because I believe God did this for a reason. So, the old self could die, and a new self was born. So, I found out I was medically cleared and waiting for a bed at an ARU. I am homeless, living in a motel and have no clothes to put on to be transported. So Jasmine put in a request to the donation boot. Well, they didn’t have very much garments my size. I received a sweatshirt that I'm grateful for. Jasmine noticed I was trying to call family to bring me some clothes, but no luck. I was very upset, and it was starting to affect my attitude toward my recovery. So, Jasmine departed for the night, but the next morning she was my nurse again. And she walked in with a bag full of clothes for me. Sports bra, socks, change of pants, shirt. My heart dropped, I started to cry. I think she is full of compassion and love. She’s a great nurse. She went above and beyond the extra mile and I'm so grateful and thankful for her. She really showed empathy for me.
