I would like to nominate a once in a lifetime type of boss, who genuinely cares about her team, our successes, and our patients. She cares about all of us employees here, she never hesitates to help in any she can and accommodate our personal and professional needs. I had a rough patch due to circumstances at home and she was there to help me through everything I needed. She is the type of person that makes coming into work worth it and most of the reason why I love my job so much. Our area feels more like a family with her leading it. I can honestly say she has been the best leader I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is kind, compassionate about her job, never fails to make you smile, hard working, honest, and so valued. I have seen her multiple times work closely with providers and patients to get patient needs resolved. Recently, we have been short on nursing staff, and have had new nurses and floats come in and out. She has selflessly added more and more responsibilities to her own plate to ease the burden off of our nurses. She does an outstanding job, she is quick to help with all patients and commits herself to make sure we are providing them with the best care we can from clerical staff to clinical. I feel she is a very deserving person of this award, she by far exceeds all the criteria. She is a true picture of what KCH values and strives for in nurse and leader. I hope to have many more years working along side her.
