Beth motivates me to continue to strive higher and higher, not only for the good of my life and career, but to also provide even better standards and care to our patients.
Beth Polson, RN, clinic nurse supervisor over MU Health Care’s ear, nose and throat clinics, recently received the DAISY Nurse Leader Award for her selfless, caring and compassionate leadership.
She serves as a role model for her nurses and has shown what great nursing looks like. Beth sees the unique value her colleagues can bring and gives them the opportunity to thrive for the good of our patients.
“With me personally, Beth has watched me grow from interviewing me as a brand-new LPN in 2016, to working with me while I went to school to become an RN in 2019, to full circle now bringing me back to my roots under her guidance as my nursing mentor and leader within the specialty of otolaryngology in 2023,” the nomination read.
