My 98-year-old mother was brought into the Emergency Department for delirium and potential urine/system infection. Mom was very anxious. Kaylin was so calm and kind - looked eye to eye with my mom to let her know they would be working hard to find what was wrong. She described everything she did, making sure my mom was not frightened. She also focused on my mom’s comfort level.

Kaylin got her extra blankets, asked if she was comfortable with bed height, and even explained why she put on the yellow “fall risk” band. Kaylin also demonstrated her commitment to helping her teammates. I watched her perform at the nurse’s station! She kept us updated as results came in! As both a family member and patient we would hope that all patients are cared for by someone like this!
