On Saturday, our Mother was brought into the ER. After a diagnosis of a perforated bowel, it was determined she needed emergency surgery. Dr. V was called in as well as the surgery staff. Christy was the first one from surgery we had contact with. Christy assured us that we had a great team and was so caring and compassionate to all of us. Christy helped get my 85-year-old father inside the locked doors of the surgery center. She made sure he had snacks and a sugar-free drink – which is awesome as he is diabetic. She made our Mom comfortable while waiting a short time until surgery started. She brought us blankets while we waited and gave us updates every fifteen minutes. She was just so kind.

Christy gave us a number to call and immediately answered when we called. She greeted us with a hug and left us with a hug. She genuinely cared for Mom and we could feel her deep concern when she brought us reports. Christy came and got me so I could go back and see her while she was waking up – so that Mom wasn’t scared. If not for them – our experience would have had a different outcome.

We can’t say enough great things about how wonderful our experience has been so far. From entering the ER doors until our current stay in CCU five days later. Without their kindness, our visit could have started off much differently.
