Rebecca asked other members of staff to cover her while she was talking to the mental health team. She did not leave till she was happy I was safe.
I came into the hospital with a possible stroke. After many tests, I was transferred to the B3 ward. It was a terrifying time because you don't understand what's happened. In the last 18 months, I've had a complete mental breakdown, including an overdose.
I met Rebecca on Wednesday when I was at a very low point and suicide was on my mind again. Rebecca noticed that I did not seem well, and she approached me to see if there were any problems. I confided in her that I was in a suicidal state. Rebecca stood there and listened to me.
She offered for the mental health team to see me as this was not her field of expertise, but she did not leave me alone. Rebecca asked other members of staff to cover her while she was talking to the mental health team. She did not leave till she was happy I was safe. Rebecca checked on me every 30 minutes or so. Rebecca is caring and has a good bedside manner.
