Integrity:
Yaye shows great integrity in dealing with her peers. She is the charge nurse on the unit. She makes sure the nurses and nursing assistants’ task are broken up evenly. She makes sure the unit is stocked and patients have everything they need.

Commitment:
Yaye interacts with families on the inpatient behavioral health unit when the family members are in distresses about their love ones. Sometimes this could be the first time this has happen for the patient and family member. She shows compassion and education to the families and veterans. She will investigate and assist families with resources for the veterans.

Advocacy:
Yaye is the advocate for our veterans on the behavioral health unit. She will speak for the veteran to the doctor about their need. Yaye will be the person to explain what our veteran is trying to say. She is able to do this because of closeness and the trust that she has foster with our veterans. Ms. Yaye make sures that she meets with the patient daily and asks about their needs.

Respect:
Ms. Yaye shows respects to all staff. She is known for her smile. The employees from housekeeping, FMS. Any discipline will speak highly of Yaye. She is also goes out of way to assist volunteers when we are having bingos.

Excellence:
Yaye always strives for excellence. The unit comes first. She makes sure its clean and the vets have everything they need. She makes sure everyone is aware of what’s going on the unit daily. She will follow policy and not disrespect anyone morals. She is a joy to work with. It is comforting to care she shows the patients.
