You can tell she truly cares for her patients and their outcomes and for my mother, this was life and death.
Story 1: Emilie was my aunt’s nurse for several days. She connected with my aunt and gained her trust so that my aunt felt confident in her care. She was kind, compassionate, and respectful. She listened to and engaged my aunt in her life story. She showed great wisdom and professionalism by recognizing twice that my aunt needed my presence at the hospital to reassure her. Emilie called me and shared her concerns. During my aunt’s last day of life, Emilie sat in the room with my aunt until I could get to the hospital. Emilie goes above and beyond the care of duty to show exceptional compassion and care to patients and families.
Story 2: Unfortunately, there was significant miscommunication between my mother’s care team and Emilie was absolutely wonderful at being my mother’s advocate with the healthcare team. That specific morning, Emilie felt like a true member of our family by keeping us in constant communication with the surgeon and her hospitalist team. You can tell she truly cares for her patients and their outcomes and for my mother, this was life and death. Thank you!
Story 3: Emilie exceeds, beyond a doubt, all of the facility standards! As an RN, she could have easily delegated hygiene to an LPN or aide, but she personally bathed our mother twice as was necessary because of mom’s fear, agitation, and resistance. We didn’t want to leave Mother, we completely trusted Emilie to medically care for and love her! She listened to our questions and concerns and provided us with feedback far above average. I am pretty sure that compassion is her middle name. Her positive attitude did not change over her 5-day stent with us. Professionalism far exceeded the norm. She provided an exceptional combination of warm and fuzzy, hard-working knowledge, yielding an angel.
