I believe it goes without saying that being admitted for a hospital stay is not something one is overly pleased about. Suddenly, you are feeling extremely ill, and you are worried/concerned and frustrated because life just doesn’t allow time for these mishaps. Recently, this was the case for me as I had an acute medical problem that placed me in a bed at the Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital. It wasn’t long after the tests, procedures, and influx of medical personnel when I met a nurse, my nurse, Mikayla. I am writing this nomination form to you because this is a nurse who deserves all the accolades!

Mikayla is a competent and talented nurse - seemingly wise beyond her years. She has the patience and grace that went far above and beyond others. Furthermore, she was EVERYTHING I needed in a nurse during my stay - a nurse, a friend, and a Mom. (This was evident when I was terribly frightened to undergo multiple blood transfusions and a scope!) I couldn’t help but watch the clock while I was in that bed - as the best part of my day was when she arrived for her shift! On behalf of myself and my family, who also saw this exemplary nurse in action, please accept this nomination.
