Ashleen is outstanding, extraordinary, and compassionate. My Dad was a patient on 6A. This was only his second time being hospitalized in all his years and it was challenging. Unfortunately, he passed away from prostrate cancer with Mets and we miss him dearly. Ashleen provided him with comfort, reassurance, and laughter. My Dad loved humor and always had a quick wit. She took the time to get to know not only my Dad but our family as well. She is the definition of extraordinary. I cannot thank her enough for providing my Dad with the care he deserved. Families like ours depend on medical professionals like Ashleen and others on 6A. I'd like to thank her for making a difference in our lives and providing my Dad with kindness and the best care possible. I have worked at Upstate for 15 years, as a social worker in the ED. Being the daughter and family on the receiving end of care was so difficult. I now have a special place in my heart for nurses like Ashleen, who provide day-to-day care and compassion to not only their patients but their families as well.
