It was a busy Christmas Eve morning, half of the unit is tripled, and we have had to instable a crashing pregnant patient. Wesley was helping one of our RN's, as it was his first time taking a pregnant patient for intubation, and the RN will be tripled. Wesley's experience as a NICU RN kicked in right away and decided to follow up with critical care and labor and delivery team. He was even willing to take the patient as his own admission while running the floor. That for me promotes unselfish teamwork and exemplary leadership and encourages a strong, positive, team learning environment. He was ready for an imminent delivery, was always composed and all the time is sharing through learning his educational and professional improvement programs being only member of the educational committee that for me provides critical leadership that is displayed in these situations and commanded the respect of others.
