Sonia was great from the start. She walked in and greeted everyone who was in my mom’s room. She respectfully called her Mrs. Val. She changed all of her surgical dressings from surgery and took extra time to just check in. She chatted for a few moments and generally let you know she was there for you. Everything she did just overflowed with her care and concern for you as a person, not just a patient. Sonia was very informative on what we should ask for and how to advocate for certain basic needs for my mom when she was there. Even on a day when she was not on the same rotation where my mom was, she came to seek us out to say hello and just let her know she was there. Sonia, in my opinion, is the best of the best. Her love of what she does and care and concern for her patients is extraordinary and deserves to be recognized.
