This nomination is for Andrea Flores the manager of 6W. I have had the pleasure of working with Andrea on multiple cases as the assigned social worker on the floor. This story is particularly impactful. Her work with John Doe is above and beyond. Due to staffing issues, Andrea chose to be the patient’s sitter. While at the bedside, she spoke with the patient in Spanish, making every effort to connect with him. The patient eventually shared his name and birth date with her, allowing us to confirm with the appropriate authorities. The patient was indeed a missing person reported by his family. Andrea remained at the bedside until the patient’s parents and families reunited with him. Throughout the entire morning, Andrea, exhibited heartfelt genuine concern for the patient and his family, communicating and reassuring this patient and family everything will be OK. To say that Andrea is a strong leader is an understatement. She truly goes above and beyond daily for her staff, patients and family. Andrea is a true blessing for a Hospital. It is my pleasure to nominate her for the most deserving award.  I truly appreciate all she does to help with my involvement with cases on 6W
