I am constantly in and out of hospitals. I never find it hard to have a wonderful nurse. Most whom have cared for me usually go above and beyond. I know I have been under the constant care of one in particular. Mika has shown me the best care yet. She has met all my needs and then some. For the past few days, Mika truly went out of her way to allow my stay to be carefree, easy, comfortable, and welcoming. She has constantly stopped at my door to reassure every procedure, needle stick, and every hour is effortlessly pleasant. Being a patient and lost with all the ins and outs of each procedure and understanding is hard when there is a time on it. Mika stopped and took the extra time to make sure I was informed and comfortable in the best way. She never rushed the clock or seemed as if I was a bother, even though, I had every question in the book. She then made it her duty to understand and voluntarily took extra steps to avoid looking at the clock. She made it her mission to wear a smile, be sincere, and try to put her patient's needs before her own needs and comfort. Mika was 100% honest with situations and helped me feel like an actual human being, not a young alcoholic looking for a handout. Mika truly made a difference in my stay here at Lourdes.
