The Labor and Delivery nurses who helped us through our preterm labor and infant loss were so kind, comforting, understanding, compassionate, calm, and loving. Jodie informed us of everything that was going on and what all the nurses were going to do, which made me feel much better. She comforted my husband too and recognized that he shared this loss with me, and assured him that they were taking care of me. Her tenderness helped us feel like we weren't alone in a scary and difficult situation. She encouraged us to take photos with our baby and bring her back into the room to spend more time with her. We wouldn't have done that if her kind demeanor hadn't persuaded us, and that is something we're both so glad we did. All of the nurses felt like family in less than a 24-hour stay. Their interactions with one another were helpful, patient, and friendly, & and they didn't make us feel uncomfortable or worried. They helped us make the best of a horrific situation.
