When your child is scared or in pain, so are you as a parent. You want to do everything to place yourself in your child’s shoes and take the pain for them. My son has been treated by dermatology and needs regular injections. Since day 1 of needing the injections, Nurse Karen has been nothing short of an angel sent from heaven to help us. Thankfully, each time he has come in, Nurse Karen has been assigned to his case. Her personality, demeanor, and approach are remarkable. Her approach is like a member of our family keeping me and my child at ease for something that anyone may be scared of. If I would ever move, I’d fly back in to ensure that Nurse Karen can help us with these injections because of how wonderful she is. Please pass this feedback onto your medical director. While I don’t want Karen to leave nursing, I think she should teach others her style, technique, and true passion for patient care.
