My timing is a little slow, but would like to take the time to recognize how much of an impact Kristin Pullin's kindness and respect have meant to me. My husband had multiple long extensive hospital stay transfers to the nursing home and readmission to SW. During these times he had experienced some changes in his alertness and mental stability. I had addressed my concerns with all of the nurses that had cared for him. I repeatedly explained that this was not normal for him, No one took the time to listen to me until Kristin. She was so empathetic, kind, and respectful. She listened and helped facilitate the opportunity for me to speak with the inpatient pharmacist and the hospitalist. Long story short, they determined that my husband was being overmedicated because of his underlying illness. Without her assistance, none of that would have been possible. She is an extraordinary, human being, nurse, and advocate for her patients and their family. It is because of her clinical expertise and commitment that we were able to figure this out. She treated us with dignity and respect. Most importantly, Kristin is a compassionate and passionate nurse. I am honored and privileged to know that nurses like her exist and work at SW! I hope she is able to be recognized because she has left a lasting impression on my family. Kristin thank you from the bottom of my heart.
