Nolan Sorrell demonstrated extreme competence in his work and when a rapid response was activated on me (the patient), Nolan remained calm and focused in a very high-stress and low-acuity situation. I work in healthcare as a paramedic and was beyond impressed with the care I received from Nolan. During the Rapid Response, Nolan demonstrated excellent communication skills with me, my family, and other healthcare providers. Nolan was able to assist in keeping me calm and fighting while multitasking and doing everything in his power to improve my odds of survival.

A paramedic also showed up to the RRT to assist and worked very well with Nolan. They both took charge and made sure every possible concern was addressed timely and appropriately. Nolan deserves this award without hesitation, and he truly exemplifies the motto of “Serious Medicine, Extraordinary Care.” I want to take the time to thank him from the bottom of my heart. I know that every patient he will encounter in the future will have come out better.
