Laurie was our nurse on the first night after delivery by emergency c-section. She was so helpful in coaching my wife through the first night of recovery as well as coaching me through my first night of fatherhood, assisting me with the care of our baby and ensuring that I was feeding, changing, swaddling, and handling her properly. She did everything for us and with us with so much grace, compassion, and eagerness to give us her skillful care, that it made a remarkable impact on us after a very difficult day that went from planned, induced vaginal labor to a crash emergency c-section. The entire team in this unit was outstanding, but Laurie was ever-present for us on that first night an made us all feel safe and cared for above and beyond reasonable expectaitons. The personalized level of care was truly a blessing.

More than Laure's guidance and presence to us and for us while we were in her care, Laurie very naturally interacted with us on a human level, like family and beyond what one would expect in a patient-to-provider dynamic. These things are hard to fake, and were a major differentiating factor in our experience here, and made us feel comfortable and like family. Being first-time parents, we don't have much to compare, but she went above and beyond expectations, and we're certain a post-delivery experience like we had will be very hard to beat.
