Karly is Z's favorite. She jokes around with us and always makes sure Z and I have what we need. If I have questions, she always answers them, and if she doesn't know she says so and then finds out for me. She has great people skills. We are truly going to miss her.

At hospitals, it can be someone's best day and simultaneously someone else's worst. I've had many experiences with hospital staff in my 38 years, but this week has been the most terrifying to date. It is in these moments of fear, confusion, and worry that our strength is seemingly tested. Karly Heekin is the epitome of what families need in their worst moments.

Our son suffered a febrile seizure. I believe it goes without saying, that this was the most traumatic thing we've ever had to go through. As our son started to progress, we were moved from the PICU to 5Wolfson. After relocation, we were introduced to our RN, Karly. She was able to take her training, combined with genuineness, and amazing work ethic, and somehow produce the most peaceful bedside manner for our son, as well as bringing the same peace to us during our hardest week.

Karly exhibits extraordinary care and eases families such as ours under immense stress. She never made our family like a number or quota to be completed. She has managed to take this experience and turn it into a blessing by just being herself. We will be forever grateful to 5Wolfson, but we will never forget Karly Heekin.
