My daughter had a possible spider bite on the bottom of her foot which resulted in an infected abscess. Though my daughter is almost 13 years old, she is terrified of needles. During our stay, Nick sat with her to keep her calm, threw out some jokes (some may be funnier than others 101) played music on the phone, and talked to her like a person- literally everything he could do to help her visit not be a nightmare for us. He even gave her peanut butter and crackers so we could leave, then she said she didn't want something else, then of course she did, and he never huffed or seemed to get annoyed by her inability to make a solid decision.

As a single mom- nurses like this are a treasure- already leaving my other kids with family, having a hurt child in the ER, and then dealing with her anxiety- I think I would've been so stressed if I had not had the help I received. My daughter said Nick was her favorite and by her standards- that's an award in itself.
