My husband was in the Cardiac ICU on a heart pump awaiting a heart transplant. All of the nurses were terrific but one stood out-Helen Bock! She had an extra touch! Her sincerity and compassion were apparent in everything she did. She did everything and more caring for my husband. She moved a port from his arm that was swollen to the other arm. She suggested to the doctor to do that and it helped his pain. She shaved his face, bathed him, kept his room organized, and changed his bed every time he got up. Walked him, cut his food for him, and was always looking out for his best interest. I was confident when I had to leave he was in good hands. You are fortunate to have her on your team.
