Cristina was a phenomenal nurse to my son, A, during our stay in the PICU. There was no question that went unanswered, no task left incomplete. Cristina not only took excellent care of my son but took care of my husband and me. Cristina took the time to get to know A, played with him, and made him feel safe. Even before she became our nurse, my first memory of her was the day we got the devastating diagnosis; I was in the family room telling my sister the news, completely broken down. Cristina heard me crying and came to the family room with a box of tissues for me to use. Even through everything in my mind at that moment, her action was so caring and special that I cherish it and will never forget it. Cristina is a very special nurse, and we were so blessed to have met her. Thank you forever, Cristina, with all our hearts.
