I want to nominate Carrie-Lynn from 4N who is filling the role of lead RN on 3W. Not only did she tackle all the duties/roles of being a lead, but she also took the time to be at the bedside with really sick patients to support me in providing nursing care. I was able to learn a lot despite how hectic the floor was at the time.

The event I want to bring to light for everyone to know is that she was with me at the bedside for 2 hours doing a wound vac dressing change with an external fixator in place that took 2 hours. This started around 5 and she had tasks to do before shift change, she took her time to work with me through the complex dressing change and did not once try to excuse herself and glance at the clock. I was more anxious than she was. She even talked to the patient throughout the whole process and did not show a glimpse of trying to rush or get out of the room. Carrie-Lynn's work ethic and character as an RN are admirable.
