He is confident in critical situations, encourages teamwork, and is efficient in his communication with staff and patients.
Tony is the active day shift Charge Nurse and has led his team to multiple successes during his reign of his duties. Tony, with the help of his team, has surpassed each of our quality goals. He holds the record for Door to Lytic for STEMI with a record time of 21 minutes. He also led his team in exceeding the quality goal of administering TPA within 25 minutes of arrival when the goal is 45 min! Both instances led our patients to achieve better patient outcomes due to his diligence and patient-focused attitude. Tony created a slogan for his team known as S.L.S.R. (Saving lives and Setting Records).
Tony was nominated by multiple peers and physicians and was chosen as the employee of the month for the month of March. Some of the statements from physicians included, “he is confident in critical situations, encourages teamwork, and is efficient in his communication with staff and patients.” His peers have stated, “he is the light we need and provides us the humor we need every day.”
Tony is a true extrovert who is energized by people and loves to make his coworkers and patients laugh every day. Additionally, Tony has had many patient compliments and has even taken time to follow-up with patients once they have been admitted upstairs. He has continually gone above and beyond in setting his team up for success while maintaining a calm and welcoming environment. Tony exhibits all the qualities needed to be deserving of this award.
