Karen was the absolute best nurse! I was induced on a Wednesday night and didn’t deliver until Saturday morning. I met Karen on her night shift. I feel so thankful to have met her that night. My induction process was the longest process, and I really needed a nurse just like Karen to help me keep going! She was thankful, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor, so motherly, kind, compassionate, sweet, generous with her time, and realistic, the list could keep going!! Even though she was swamped with babies, she still taught me so much from breastfeeding to burping to even picking up my baby. I was so nervous being a mom, and Karen has me leaving feeling like a confident mother! This is a feeling that no one else could give you except for an excellent teacher, caregiver, and friend! I am beyond thankful for her positive energy and time! She even listened to me venting about my husband leaving (taking breaks from the hospital) and gave me excellent advice. She was with me for two nights, and she knew how badly I wanted to be checked out. She made sure my baby got bathed, scheduled her hearing exam, got her car seat tested – she didn’t leave until she did everything she absolutely could! Karen is extraordinary and definitely deserved the award!

Karen was absolutely amazing. She is very kind, we had a few laughs. She was always in a great mood. She made me feel comfortable. Very kind and sweet – she has great bedside manners. Being a first time mom, she answered my questions best to her knowledge. More nurses like her are most definitely needed.
