At my first appointment with wound care, I was greeted by Ms. Thompson with a smile and great bedside manner. I was in the hospital not only once, but twice. The positive attitude and joy Rachel shows in her job could be used to teach many nurses at Shannon. I can say, there have been two nurses, one including Rachel, that have made my stay and care worthy of recognition. I typically don't submit recognitions because when you have a job, it should be done well. I was never just a number, but a patient in the care of Ms. Thompson. Ms. Thompson not only took care of me but showed value in my family as she greeted my newborn and husband during my first visit. Rachel still asks about the baby when he is not with me. As you know, the world is full of unhealthy, and it is nice to have peace when caregivers such as Ms. Rachel Thompson make situations such as mine full of hope and care that all deserve.
