Michael is one of the most compassionate nurses on our unit. He takes the time to talk, reassure, and let his patients know he truly cares. Michael has been mentioned numerous times in our Press Ganey surveys, showing the impact he made on his patients. There are so many stories that can illustrate how extraordinary Mike is that it’s hard to pick one. Mike is extraordinary not only to patients but to his coworkers as well. He has stayed past his shift to help when needed without being asked and is the first to help when it’s needed. He is the go-to person to represent our unit when we have a student nurse or need someone to have a new nurse shadow. No matter how hectic the floor is, Mike always has a smile and goes above and beyond. His bright and compassionate personality is always uplifting to patients and staff.
