The patient has reported that your kindness hasn’t stopped with the nursing visits – you’ve even taken time to go out and mow her lawn when you have extra time.
A nurse practitioner from our Hospitalist team and another home care nurse shared some pretty significant praise about Jeremiah regarding a patient he was caring for through Home Care. They stated that a patient Jeremiah had seen has had multiple complications (medically and with her wounds). But both the APN and Home Care nurse feel like you have gone above and beyond with this patient – actually stating “you are the definition of going above and beyond” – obviously with her nursing care but also helping her emotionally and personally.
The APN feels like this patient was potentially suicidal after her amputation and without your visits and emotional support, “the patient may not be here”…..Wow! That’s a big deal! Excellent job in supporting this patient and showing her dignity. But that’s not all. The patient has reported that your kindness hasn’t stopped with the nursing visits – you’ve even taken time to go out and mow her lawn when you have extra time. That definitely pulls on our heartstrings! Sacrificing your personal time and going beyond just the purpose of the nursing visit – probably has REALLY saved this person’s life. Thank you for all that you have done to help this patient navigate through the challenges she has encountered and support her in a way that has been impactful to her life. We appreciate you and all your hard work and the time you gave this patient!
