We have a patient who is COVID-19 positive and on comfort care, his mother at the bedside was in tears, telling me how appreciative she was of the care he has received while in ICU. Specifically, she said that last night, during his bath, he was shaved for the first time in 3 months, and he “looked like her son again”. Big kudos to Deb Nia for taking the time to shave him. It made a HUGE difference to the family during this very difficult time of loss.
