She took the time to explain everything to us, and to get to know us. Her sunny disposition and confidence in what she was doing put us at ease.
I have been so grateful to have Rosanne. She is outstanding at being a nurse. She always comes right away when I need her like when I had to go to the bathroom and come back to my chair. She always helps take me off the machine when I am not feeling well. She always helps me to get back on again. She asked if I wanted anything to keep me warm. She also got me food when she left.

My adult sister (L, who wrote the above nomination), who has intellectual and physical disabilities was diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer in late January 2023. Because it had spread to the lymph nodes, chemo was necessary. This was unexpected and scary news. The doctors at Magee did not waste any time getting L scheduled for Chemo treatments. Going to chemo the first time was scary as we did not know what to expect. We found out we were assigned Roseanne as her chemo nurse. Right from the beginning, she was exceptionally kind and understanding. She took the time to explain everything to us, and to get to know us. Her sunny disposition and confidence in what she was doing put us at ease. This was extremely helpful during a stressful time. Over the next 6 treatments, we would always look forward to seeing Roseanne. Whenever she had the day off we would really miss her! My sister and I would love to recognize Roseanne as a DAISY Nurse for her extraordinary kindness and compassion which makes all the difference! All the nurses on the 4th-floor cancer unit are fabulous!
