We want to thank Lauren for both her skill and her compassion.
Our daughter suffered a stroke due to an AVM rupture. She was a patient in Acute Rehab. Shortly after her admission, the nurses in that unit needed to draw blood but, due to her veins, were unable to. They therefore requested the assistance of an ICU nurse and Lauren responded. She quickly and with minimal pain to our daughter was able to draw the blood.

What makes Lauren special is that over the following weeks, Lauren kept an eye on our daughter's chart, and, whenever blood was to be drawn, she proactively made herself available to do this. While this may seem a relatively minor thing, especially given all the other procedures our daughter has had to endure, anything that reduced our daughter's discomfort was greatly appreciated. Small acts can have a significant impact. We want to thank Lauren for both her skill and her compassion.
