She is a beautiful person, happy and skilled! She was great at keeping Mom and our family current on her medical service, condition, and needs.
Mom is 88 and ended up in the hospital after three weeks in nursing rehab, recovering from a bone infection and toe removal, resulting in an infection in her artificial knee. Upon arrival at her orthopedic doctor in St. George (2 local orthopedic doctors refused to see her), the x-rays of Mom's knee showed it had dislocated, so that evening, the doctor immediately performed relocation of the knee. That's when we met Carol Sue. She is a beautiful person, happy and skilled! She was great at keeping Mom and our family current on her medical service, condition, and needs.
Mom had a big second day with the doctor performing a knee operation to clean out infection and components of her artificial knee, giving her the best chance to become mobile again. It was scary for Mom and our family, but she pulled through like a champ. Carol Sue was there to provide pain management, monitoring her low blood pressure, oxygen, A-Fib condition, and knee drain while tending to important personal needs with such skill and a positive attitude.
Carol Sue has been so uplifting to my mom and our family, always sharing helpful, inspiring experiences to help Mom through her challenges. It has been extraordinary care! For three days in a row, through all the ups and downs, Carol Sue has kept us updated on Mom's progress. Intermountain is blessed to have Carol Sue on their team, and we are so very thankful that she has been in "mom's corner" during her treatment and providing comfort in recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
