Over the time Carol was C's nurse, she was extremely nice and helpful. She gave him advice on how to eat to help control flair-ups. It's not always about treating the physical problems... it's also about treating a person's soul. Carol was uplifting and fun to be around. C really enjoyed her as his nurse and talked about if he had to be in the hospital, at least she was a comfort. At this time, his heart has recovered but he still has a long way to go regarding the UC. As C's mom, it's not a situation I ever thought I would ever have to witness with my son - however, the one sweet spot is nurses like Carol.
